Advanced Magic Skills

After grasping a decent knowledge of a chosen magical field, be it clerical, wizardry, or druidic, one begins to form a more powerful application of magic itself. Magic begins to flow through you, enhancing your own abilities based on what magics you wield and devote yourself to.

 

Clerical Magics

Devotion to Life/Death- 5 xp     req. lvl 3 cleric spell slot, concentration

This is the devotion of a cleric to his purpose, whether that be to the use of Life spells, or through Death spells. This devotion grants a 50% bonus to the effect of spells from that sphere. A character may choose to devote to either Life or to Death, but not both.

 

Priest/Dark Priest Teachings- 8 xp     req. devotion to life/death

After devoting themselves to Life clerics can be taught in the ways of the Priest, After devoting themselves to Death clerics can be taught in the ways of the Dark Priest. The skills and innate abilities are unique to the path chosen.

Priest- Innate Mend Touch 3x/day- a touch cast mend spell.

                  Innate Repulse Undead 5x/day- a repulse spell that only targets undead..

Dark Priest- Innate Speedcast Rot 3x/day-a rot spell that may be speedcasted  .

               Innate Alliance Undead 5x/day- an alliance spell that only targets undead.

 

Lifegiver- 15 xp     req. lvl 6 cleric spell slot, priest teachings

Innate Remove Disease Touch at will- this removes all diseases, magical or non magical, from the target.

Innate Cure Wounds Touch 3x/day- a touch cast cure wounds spell.

Innate Revitalize Touch 1x/day- a touch cast revitalize spell.

Innate Life’s Essence Touch 1x/day– a touch cast life’s essence spell.

Faith 1x/day- any clerical spell may effect a 10 foot radius.

Pyramid Mastery- Learning spell slots in the pyramid form is no longer necessary. You may take all spell slots and form them into any combination of slots with a 1:1 ratio(lose 3 lvl 1 slots for 1 lvl 3 slot, etc).

 

Necromancer- 15 xp     req. lvl 6 cleric spell slot, dark priest teachings

Innate Animate Skeleton Touch 3x/day- a touch cast animate skeleton spell

Innate Animate Wight Touch 1x/day- a touch cast animate wight spell

Innate Cause Wounds Touch 5x/day- a touch cast cause wounds spell.

Command Undead 3x/day- packet delivery, the target undead must obey all orders given

Longevity- all undead animated by the necromancer last for base 1 hour instead of 10 minutes.

Pyramid Mastery- Learning spell slots in the pyramid form is no longer necessary. You may take all spell slots and form them into any combination of slots with a 1:1 ratio(lose 3 lvl 1 slots for 1 lvl 3 slot, etc).

Druidic Magics

Attuning themselves better to nature brings great benefit to the Druid. The more in tune with nature a Druid becomes, the more skills they develop to help them retain balance.

Feral Druidry- 8 xp     req. lvl 3 druid spell slot, attunement

This rudimentary merging with nature brings the druid closer to nature by enhancing him or her with feral characteristics and a better understanding of the natural process.

Claws- This gives the Druid natural claws.

Innate Alliance Animal 3x/day- This is an innate alliance spell that only effects animals.

Nature’s Ward 5xp- +50% effect of Protection sphere spells. Upon learning this, you may not learn Nature’s Wrath.

Nature’s Wrath 5xp- +50% effect of Nature sphere spells. Upon learning this, you may not learn Nature’s Ward.

 

Arch Druid- 15 xp     req. lvl 6 druid spell slot, feral druidry, nature’s ward/wrath

Innate Alliance Animal at will- This is an innate alliance spell that only effects animals.

Nature’s Gift- This reduces the time needed to attune a druidic spell by 50%

 

Wizardry Magics

After mastering the novice magics, a Wizard’s abilities and understanding begin to mature. Depending on a Wizard’s chosen path, they will progress into higher forms of magic.

Mage - 8xp     req. lvl 3 wizard spell slot, may not have sphere focus

The Mage is a path chosen by those casters that believe in numerous spells of all spheres over concentrating on a few. Mages have been known to have an “Arsenal” of spells at their disposal.

Plentiful Mana- For every 3 base spells slots of the same level gained, 1 free slot of that level is bestowed retroactively.

Magisteer- 15xp     req. lvl 6 wizard spell slot, Mage

After reaching your first 6th rank spell slot and honing your skill as a mage, you may study to become a Magisteer.

Pyramid Mastery- Learning spell slots in the pyramid form is no longer necessary. You may take all spell slots and form them into any combination of slots with a 1:1 ratio(lose 3 lvl 1 slots for 1 lvl 3 slot, etc).

Magic Repertiore- All magical research costs are reduced by 1/5.

Mana Well- An improvement on Plentiful Mana, 1 free slot for every 2 learned.

Sorcerer - 8 xp     req. lvl 3 wizard spell slot, sphere focus, may not be a mage

The Sorcerer is the path chosen by those who wish to have powerful magic at their disposal. Though it may not be as plentiful or diverse as other casters, the raw power behind each spell is very respectable.

Concentrated Mana- Any spell of the caster’s chosen sphere readied into a slot is automatically prepared without loss of any additional slots.

Maggus- 15xp     req. lvl 6 wizard spell slot, Sorcerer

After reaching your first 6th rank spell slot and honing your skill as a sorcerer, you may study to become a Maggus

Pyramid Mastery- See Magisteer

Dedication- If all basic wizard magic skills are used to empower a spell, and additional +100% bonus to the effect is bestowed.

Greater Focus- An additional 50% bonus to the effect of focused sphere spells.
